James D. Rogers, 62, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015. He was born April 21, 1952, in Colby, Kansas, the son of Carl and Margaret (Schuhart) Rogers. He was raised in Hutchinson, Kansas and graduated from Trinity High School.

James worked as an over the road trucker and was employed for a number of years by Premier Trucking.

Survivors include his siblings, Carol Mallory of Topeka, Terry Rogers and Jan Rogers of Newton, Kansas, Donna Nichols of Lincoln, Nebraska; niece, Valena Hadley of Topeka; nephew David Rose of Lawrence; and great-niece, Mallory Hadley. He was preceded in death by his parents.

James enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and watching his great-niece’s soccer games.

James was cremated. Per his wishes, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in James’ name to The Easter Seals Capper Foundation, 3500 SW 10th St. Topeka, KS 66604.
