Phyllis Marian (Parker) Moore passed away December 1, 2014, at home. She was born August 29, 1931 to Lester and Gladys Parker, in Burlingame, Kansas. She was the second eldest of six children.

She married Bill Moore on February 17, 1950 at Lyndon, Kansas. Following her marriage to Bill, they moved to Wichita, Kansas where their three children were born. In 1959, the family moved to Leavenworth, Kansas where Bill worked for Phyllis’ father’s construction company. In 1966, the family moved to Topeka, Kansas. Phyllis and Bill bought a farm near Dover, Kansas in the 1970s, and lived on that farm for more than 40 years.

She was preceded in death by brothers Melvin Parker and Douglas “Joe” Parker, and sister, Doris Trapani.

She is survived by her husband, Bill of the home; son, Regi (Vicki) of Paola, Kansas; daughter, Philicia McKee of Topeka; son, Galen of the home; sister, Linda Talkington of Bryan, Ohio; sister, Gretchen Cowan of Leavenworth, Kansas; and six grandchildren, William (Nina) Moore of Lenexa, Kansas, Kiel Moore of Lenexa, Kansas, Ashley Moore of Paola, Kansas, Shannon Moore of Paola, Kansas, Lacey McKee of Topeka, and Michael McKee of Topeka.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Midland Care of Topeka. Cremation is planned. Per the family’s wishes no services will be held.
