June Francis Owens Spacek, 85, Wakarusa, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014, at Midland Care Hospice in Topeka. June was born November 18, 1928, in Centralia, the daughter of Marrion L. and Alma (Flentie) Owens. She graduated from Centralia High School, Kansas State Teachers College (Emporia State University) with her Bachelors and Washburn University with her Masters.

She was married to Herman E. Spacek on December 21, 1952, in Centralia. He preceded her in death May 6, 1999.

She was married to Michael Unrein on January 7, 2001. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Spacek taught school as a grade school teacher at Indian Creek Grade School in the Seaman District and in 1973 became the business teacher at Centralia High School.

She also was a lifetime member of the Horseless Carriage Club of America, Antique Auto Club of America and various other antique car clubs. She was a member of the Wakarusa Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include daughter, Candice Spacek, Topeka; two sons, Douglas Spacek and Louis Spacek, both of Wakarusa; three grandchildren, Jason Stallbaumer, Sherri Stallbaumer and Roland Stallbaumer, all of Topeka; three great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Stallbaumer, Damian Stallbaumer, and Chevy Stallbaumer, all of Topeka. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marrion L. Owens, Jr.

Memorial services will be at 3 pm, Sunday, October 12th at Wakarusa Presbyterian Church, 10135 SW Jordan Rd., Wakarusa, KS. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wakarusa Presbyterian Church or Midland Care Hospice.
