Kelly Kathleen Thatcher, 42, of Topeka, Kansas passed away March 17, 2017. She was born January 13, 1975 at Topeka to James R. and Linda K. (Williams) Lord. She was raised in Topeka and attended school at Gage Elementary, Shawnee Heights Elementary, Washburn Rural and graduated from Marion High School in Marion, Kansas.
Kelly married Steven D. Thatcher on April 12, 2014 in Topeka. She was formerly employed by the state of Kansas at Topeka Correctional Facility as a correctional officer and Alorica in Topeka as an associate for flow TV. Kelly is a member of Shawnee Heights Baptist Church and Light of the World Christian Center. She loves reading, was learning to crochet and played the violin and viola when she was in school.
Kelly is survived by her husband, Steve of the home; son Zachary Schlehuber; daughter Chelsea Rae Thatcher; parents: Jim and Debbie Lord of Topeka, Gerry and Linda Harris of Merritt Island, FL; her siblings: Leslie Lord Cox (Tom), Lori R. Lord, Clayton Lord (Abby) Tara Lord and Gabrielle Lord; one granddaughter Olivia Rae Erwin; and her in-laws, Mike and Betty Millburn of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ralph and Virginia Lord and Lawrence R. and Margaret Williams.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at First Southern Baptist Church, 19th & Gage, Topeka, Kansas.
