William D. "Billy" McCullough
1958 - 2017

William “Billy” Duane McCullough passed away in his home Thursday, March 9th, 2017 at the age of 58. Billy was born April 21st, 1958 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of William L. and Barbara J. (Parnell) McCullough.

During his life Billy attended Crestview Grade school, Capper Junior High, and Topeka West High with two years of emphasis in welding at Vo-tech. He proudly worked much of his life as a welder and loved to joke that welding was the main reason he made it through high school.

In his spare time, Billy was a passionate hunter and fisherman. He loved playing pinball and was a huge professional wrestling fan. He had a profound love for animals, nature, and most of all his children, family and friends. Billy married Cathy (Allen) McCullough on September 18th, 1981 and although they divorced in 2007, they remained supportive in each other’s and their children’s lives until Billy passed. Billy had a generous heart and would gladly help anyone in need if he was able, these traits were instilled in his children and will live on along with loving memories of his life.

Billy is survived by his parents Bill and Barb, son Thomas James (T.J.) McCullough, daughter Chelsie (McCullough)Calvert, son-in-law Dane Calvert, and his sister Sherry (Dallas) Talley.

A memorial service will be held Monday, March 27th at 5:30pm at the Crestview United Methodist Church to celebrate Billy’s life. All who can attend are welcome to join and share memories and stories.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pottawatomie County Caring Hearts Human Society, Wamego, KS at http://pottcountyhumanesociety.org/membership.html
