Cheryl Ann (Keatley) Rethman, 54, of Topeka, passed away February 6, 2017. She was born in Hays, Kansas to Alvin and Bonnie and raised in Topeka. Cheryl graduated from Topeka West High School in 1980. She worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance for 20 years and then Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas for 5 years.

Cheryl was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She loved being “Mi-Mi” to Cameron, her dogs Zeus and Zoey, cheering for the Kansas City Royals, Chiefs and the Kansas Jayhawks.

Cheryl is survived by her children: Aaron Rethman of Topeka and Kayla Walker (Steve) of Tennessee; her grandchild Cameron; her parents: Alvin Keatley (Karen) of Goddard and Bonnie Frazell of Topeka; one brother Tony Keatley (Brenda) of Topeka; her half-brothers: Kevin Keatley (Sarah) of Manhattan and Kelly Keatley (Janelle) of Goddard; her step-brother Kevin Frazell (Terry) of Minnesota; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandparents.

The memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16 at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.
