Carl E. Robbins, 73, of Topeka, Kansas passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016. He was born on July 4, 1943 at Big Piney, Missouri to James L. and Letha A. (Firestine) Robbins. Carl grew up in the Topeka area and worked in Topeka as a brick layer for Masons Local #3 for 24 years. He also worked as an inspector for the city housing department for 18 years, prior to his retirement in 2008.

Carl enjoyed old cars and “cruise nights” as well as working in his yard. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching KU Basketball and enjoying time with his loving dog, “Sadie Luv”.

Carl is survived by his wife of 18 years, Dolly Nail; daughters, Cheri (Don) LaFleur of Austin, TX, Carrie (Thomas) Miller of Topeka, Diana (Paul) Thomas of Center Point, IA, Valerie (Howie) Slaughter and Jennifer (Corey) Bartlett, both of Topeka; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Wanda (Gaylen) Myers of Joplin, Missouri, brother, Elvin (Eileen) Robbins of Topeka and sister-in-law, Betty Robbins of Joplin, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Olen Robbins.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2nd at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Ave. in Topeka. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Cir. Topeka, KS 66606.
