Glenda Faye Wilkinson, 80, of Grantville, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66606, where the family will receive guests one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society.

Glenda was born March 11, 1936. She graduated from Topeka High in 1954. She married her high school sweetheart in 1956. This year they celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Glenda worked for the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Dept. for 25 years and retired in 2000.

Glenda loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob/Wilkie” Wilkinson; children, Shawn (Janette) Wilkinson, Robert S. (Darla) Wilkinson, and Sharon (Mitch) Hershey; seven grandchildren, Matt Wilkinson, Christina Witt, Robert K. Wilkinson, Jessica Maiter, Hunter Hershey, Hailey Hershey, and Brooke Bacon; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Stevens; and brother, Herb Stevens.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Wanda K. Linch; her parents, Ruby Stevens; and sister, Zoe Swisher; and brother, Charles Swisher.
