Kimberly A. Blevins (Jacobs) Lutz, 62, of Topeka, KS, passed away September 19, 2016 at Midland Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.

Kimberly was born on September 19, 1954, in Topeka KS, to Carl and Elizabeth (Castleberry) Blevins. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1972. Kim loved reading, fishing and helping those in need.

Kimberly married Richard L. Lind, Sr. on August 11, 1972, and together they had 2 children. They later divorced.

Kimberly moved to Hiawatha, KS and married Bill Jacobs on October 17, 1979 where she raised her two children. While living in Hiawatha, she began working in the health care industry and in 1997, she moved to Red Oak Iowa to complete her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. Kim graduated from Southwest Community College in 1998. She then moved back to Topeka, KS to pursue her career in nursing, with an emphasis on Hospice care.

Kimberly married Wallace Lutz, Jr. on July 12, 2002. She pursued her nursing career until she was diagnosed with brain cancer, all the while keeping her nursing license active. She battled her tumor with strength and courage and was not going to let cancer win.

Kimberly is survived by her husband, Wallace Lutz, Jr.; children, Richard (Alawna) Lind Jr., Shawnee, KS and Amy (Patrick) O'Neill, Kansas City, MO; step-son, Scott (Nikki) Lutz, Topeka, KS; sisters, Sharon Waters, Christy Levings and Melissa Brown; brothers, Carle Blevins and Timothy Blevins; her grandchildren, Brennan and Braeden O'Neill, Cheyenne, McKayla and Billy Lutz; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Per her wishes, Kimberly was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 13, 2016, 12:00-5:00 p.m. at Snyder's Cabin on the west side of Gage Park.
