Doris June Cope, 83, of Junction City, KS, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Milford Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to Hospice at Geary Community Hospital.
Doris was born August 24, 1932, in Edwardsville, KS the daughter of Ernie and Clara (Lowe) Trobough.
Doris co-owned and operated J.D. Cope Heating and Air Conditioning Business in Junction City. She enjoyed fishing, baking around the holidays, spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors on her patio.
She married Jerry Cope December 24, 1954 in Ottawa, KS. He survives of the home.
Survivors include one son, Kevin Cope of Junction City, one daughter, Diane Cope Zeiger of Junction City. Other survivors include one granddaughter, Jennifer Krinhop of Junction City; three great-grandchildren, Kayla Simpson, Ariana Miera and Julian Williams; one sister, Betty Mount.
She was preceded in death her parents, one daughter, Theresa Ann Cope.
