Marjorie McBride, 88, of Topeka, Kansas passed away July 16, 2016 at Aldersgate Village. She was born on October 17, 1927 in Montezuma, Iowa to Alvin and Addie (Saunders) Mann. She grew up on a farm in Malcom, Iowa.
She attended Iowa Methodist School of Nursing in Des Moines, Iowa. Marjorie married Ralph McBride on October 2, 1948 at Malcom. They raised three children in Des Moines. She worked as a registered nurse in the hospital and spent most of her career working in an OB-GYN office. She was a founding member of Douglas Avenue Presbyterian Church in Des Moines.
She is survived by her son, Dennis McBride of Pleasant Hill, CA; twin daughters: Marla McBride of Laguna Niguel, CA and MaryEllen McBride (Frank) of Topeka; grandchildren: Dillon McBride Rickman, Katie McBride, Graham McBride and Sloane McBride Rickman.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ralph, and her only sibling, Eugene Mann.
A memorial graveside service will be held in Des Moines, Iowa at a later date.
