Patricia “Pat” B. Boggs, 71, of Topeka, departed this life Sunday April 17, 2016, at Manor Care in Topeka. She was born in Ft. Scott, Kansas on September 11, 1944 to Lee B. Craig and Bertha I. (Shroyer) Craig. When she was 8 years old, her family moved to Carbondale, Kansas where she graduated high school. She married William “Bill” A. Boggs in June of 1962. Bill was in the US Air Force and she followed him to his duty station at Travis Air Force Base, in Fairfield, CA. Pat held various jobs in California but, once back in Topeka, she was employed as an executive assistant for Myers and Stauffer, a CPA firm. She retired at age 69 after working there for 37 years.

Pat played the accordion from a very young age. She was a member of The Red Hat Society, was an avid reader and loved cats. Her beloved cats, Harley and Jake, lived to the old ages of 18 and 19 years.

Pat is survived by her children: Kelli Boggs of North Port, FL, Craig Boggs (Cindy) of Topeka, and Kyle Boggs (Jody), of Scranton; ten grandchildren, Kalee Paige, Brandon Paige, Caitlyn Paige all of North Port, FL, Meadow Boggs, Hunter Boggs, Skylar Boggs, and Xavier Boggs all of Scranton, Patrick Crader, Crystal Crader, and Sarah Crader all of Kansas City, MO; five great-grandchildren, Jameson Wright-Crader, Elijah Kelly, Lorelei Grove, Dallas Hicks Jr, and Cayden Hicks all of Kansas City, MO; and six remaining cousins, Betty Beeman of Nevada, MO, Bill Craig of Stover, MO, Dick Craig of Channahon, IL, Howard Craig and Larry (Francis) Craig both of Kansas City, MO and Sharon Worthington of Des Moines, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bill; a daughter, Stephanie Boggs; and a grandson, Kaleb Paige.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Penwell Gabel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and as was Pat's wish, memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka and Shawnee County Library, 1515 SW 10th Ave Topeka, KS 66604 or Cat Association of Topeka, 1719 Gage Blvd Topeka, KS 66604.
