Michael Barnes, 48, of Scranton, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Stormont-Vail Hospital.
He was born October 28, 1967, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Lloyd Barnes and Betty (Cummins) Argyle. He graduated from Mulvane High School and attended Colby Community College.
He served 20 years in the Army Reserve .
Michael was employed by Duffen's Optical for 27 years.
Michael married Melinda Sue Kirby on January 6, 1989 in Dodge City, KS. Survivors include his spouse, Melinda Sue Barnes, Daughters, Cammie Jo Green, Jessica Lynn Barnes and Megan Irene Barnes, Sisters, Kim (Rob)Skoumal, and Heather (Doug) Dillner, Brother, Eric (Terri) Klose, Granddaughters, Annabel and Jacquelyn Green.
Michael was cremated. A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 am., Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, Topeka, KS 66604 . Private inurnment will be at a later date. .
