Carey Anne Cope, 40, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born August 28, 1975, in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Phillip and Sharon (Eshom) Cope.
Carey was raised in Salina and attended Salina South High School, prior to her family moving to Topeka. She graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1994.
Carey was employed by the Prairie Band Pottawatomi Casino as an Executive Assistant. She loved animals, especially her cat, Bea. Carey was an active donor to the Salvation Army, Helping Hands Humane Society and PetSmart Charities.
Carey is survived by her brother, Wayne Cope (Angie); 2 nieces, Bayleigh and Emmerson and 2 nephews, Zach and Greyson. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and sister, Audra (Cope) Major.
Carey was cremated. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 20th at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66604.
