Lois Marie Cain, 75, of Emporia, was called away by the Lord, October 3, 2015. She was born to George and Ariel Iams on April 14, 1940 in Dwight, Kansas. She went on to attend public schools in Topeka, Kansas.

She married Paul J. McKinsey and was blessed with five children. Lois served others in the health care field for years and she also served in the food industry alongside her mother at the very popular S&S Café in Allen, Kansas for many years. She later worked for the Holiday Inn Corporation until her retirement.

She is survived by her children, Joyce Phillips, Tony McKinsey, Joey McKinsey, Rex McKinsey, Randy Knight, her sister Juanita Morgan and brother Lee Iams, Boise, Idaho. She was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Iams and her mother, Ariel Irene Weeks.

A celebration of Lois’ life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Horizon Plaza, 1531 Wheeler Street in Emporia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ”Hi-Risers” of Horizon Plaza in recognition of the work they do for the residents and their families.
