In Memory Of
Faye M. Hipsher
1917 - 2015
She was born October 5, 1917, in Willow Springs, Missouri, the daughter of Charles and Martha Jane (Fair) Hipsher. The family traveled to Richland, Kansas, when she was 13. Faye had also lived in New York and California before coming to live in Topeka in 1976.
Faye was a long time resident of Topeka. She was well known in the downtown area, where she enjoyed walking and socializing.
Faye enjoyed good food, family cookouts, picnics, reading and spending time with her close friends and family. Although Faye did not have any children of her own, she very much treated her nieces and nephews as such. She loved children and spent several years as a nanny, keeping close relationships with many of those children.
Faye is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends, all of whom brought great joy to her.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Plaza West for the care, friendship and support given to Faye.
Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2015, at Richland Cemetery in rural southeast Topeka. The family will receive guests from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Friday at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service. Memorial gifts may be made to Grace Hospice.
