Fred J Rogers of Topeka, KS passed away August 25, 2015. He was married to Rosalie Montgomery.

He has two daughters Connie Leiker (Kevin) and Vicki Hursh (Curtis). Grandsons Tyler, Dylan, Cody and Chance. Preceded in death by parents Gale and Carrie Rogers, two sisters Joy Long and Gailene Carlock. Survived by brothers Don Rogers (Fern), Keith Rogers (Jan) and Earl Rogers (Marilyn).

Fred, a veteran of the United States Army, earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Washburn University, and Master of Public Administration from the University of Kansas. Fred was retired from the State of Kansas SRS. Fred was an avid Hunter and Golfer, as well as sharing a love for the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs of which he was a season ticket holder for 40 years. Several days a week Fred enjoyed spending his time golfing with his friends, and the camaraderie they shared. He was an active member of the Town and Country Christian Church often volunteering his time and spreading the word of the Lord.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10:00am at Town and Country Christian Church. The visitation will be held at the church Friday August 28, 2015 from 5:30 to 7:30pm. Memorial contributions are suggested to Town and Country Christian Church (4925 Southwest 29th St., Topeka, KS 66614) or Midland Hospice (200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606).
