James R. Gillespie, 67, of Topeka, Kansas passed away June 20, 2015 at Midland Hospice House. He was born August 17, 1947 to Robert Lincoln and Mary Ellen (Van Dyke) Gillespie at Brookfield, Missouri.
He married Linda Burns on November 23, 1974 at Oskaloosa, Kansas. He enjoyed fishing and bowling.
James is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda; his son, James Jr. of Topeka; grandchildren: Alex, Victoria, Damen and Sophia; two sisters: Rose Mary Adams, of Topeka, and Donna Henninger, of Parsons, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Roger and Richard Gillespie.
