Gilbert Lester "G" Jordan, Jr. passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Midland Care, Topeka. He was born August 5, 1948, in Topeka, KS to G. Lester Jordan, Sr. and Mary Alice Staebler Jordan. He graduated from Topeka West High School; earned a degree in social work from Washburn University and a Master’s degree from the University of Kansas. He truly enjoyed his employment as a social worker.

G.'s life was filled with adventure. He enjoyed traveling abroad and learning about different cultures. He served as president of the International Club and on the Yearbook staff while a student at Washburn University. G. enjoyed bird watching, along with a love for literature, music, art and photography. He was an accomplished photographer, as he won many 1st place awards in the Topeka Capital Journal Kodak Photography contests. G. touched the lives of many people.

He is survived by two sisters, Julie Friedstrom and Jenny Hejtmanek; niece, Emily Friedstrom McGee; nephew, Brian Jordan Hejtmanek; great nephews, Ethan and Owen McGee and Cameron Hejtmanek; and his great niece Isabella Hejtmanek.
