Donna Mae Virr, 81, Topeka, Kansas, passed away on February 27, 2015. Donna was born May 15, 1933, in Newton, Kansas, the daughter of Floyd and Elsie Dale. She graduated from Salina High School in 1951.

Donna married John E. Virr on May 3, 1952, in Salina, Kansas. He survives at home. Also surviving are a son, Robert E. Virr, Kodiak Island, AK; three daughters, Linda S. Virr-Niemackl, Topeka, Catherine A. Sloop, Kansas City, MO, and Laura J. Schmidt, Topeka; a sister, Bonnie Dale, Mesquite, NV; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Donna was the owner and founder of Footlights of Topeka, Inc., a retail dancewear store with locations in Wichita, Overland Park, and Topeka. She retired in 2001.

Donna was brought up in the Mennonite Church, was a member of the First Christian Church, and passed as a member of the Catholic faith. God and family were first in her life. Donna was cremated. A private family service is planned. Inurnment will be in Rochester Cemetery, Topeka, Kansas.
