Donald B. Lessman, 60, of Topeka, passed away August 2, 2013 at his home. He was born September 3, 1952 in Wichita, Kansas. He was raised mostly in Topeka and attended Dawson, Meriden, and Tecumseh North Elementary Schools. He graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1972.

He served in the US Army Infantry from 1974 to 1976 and was honorably discharged from Ft. Lewis, Washington. Donald married Cheryl Ann Snider on February 9, 1975 at Aiken, South Carolina. He was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed collecting things, volunteering at Joyful Harvest Church and cheering on the Chiefs and Jayhawks.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Charles and Betty Brock Lessman. He is survived by his sons, Donald Dunbar and David Lessman; and his brother, Ronald G. Lessman (Linda). A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at the home, 4124 NE Brier Rd. Topeka, KS 66616.
