In Memory Of
Paul Wallace Cochran
1933 - 2017

Dr. Paul Wallace Cochran died on October 5, 2017 at age 84 after struggling with Alzheimer’s disease.

Dedicated to medicine and helping people, he pursued his education at Rice University & University of Texas Medical School at Galveston, where he also worked as yearbook editor and photographer. After military service in Germany & many years of private medical practice in Dallas, Dr. Cochran moved with his family to Topeka, to work as an internist for the Menninger Foundation. His family & friends will remember him for his keen sense of humor, his intellectual curiosity & his love of entertaining loved ones with stories. Smart, funny & generous, he always maintained the ability to reframe a problem & find an alternate viewpoint. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary, son Paul, daughter Kay, stepdaughter Laura, daughters-in-law Edie & Alice, son-in-law Stefan and grandchildren Max, Zoe & Luke.

Friends are invited to gather at Penwell-Gabel Midtown Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at 2:30 pm to greet the family. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Disease Research through the BrightFocus Foundation, www.BrightFocus.org or Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1275 SW Boswell Ave, Topeka, KS 66604.
