George David Reaves, 73, of Junction City, passed away on August 3, 2017 at Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2017, 10:00 am at the Alta Visa Cemetery, Hwy 4, Alta Vista, KS 66834. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
He was born on October 30, 1943, Fort Smith, Arkansas to Ira and Mary (McDiffett) Reaves. He was a member of the American Legion Post 45, Junction City.
George is survived by his two brothers, Michael D. (Teresa) Reaves of Riley, KS and Robert (Rebecca) Reaves of Salem, OR; one sister, Brenda (Gary) Hammond of Assaria, KS; 8 Nieces & Nephews, 13 Great Nieces & Nephews, and 5 Great-Great Nieces & Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Ira Reaves, Mother, Mary Reaves, Brother, Ronald Reaves, Nephew, Shannon Helms, and Nephew, Denny Reaves.
