John was born on September 30, 1934, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to John and Frances (Kuehne) Wesley. He grew up there until he entered high school in Topeka, Kansas. John volunteered a few years of his life serving in the United States Army. Afterward he worked in Civil Service until his retirement.
John was nature enthusiast. He enjoyed bird watching, fishing, gardening, and in general just being outdoors.
John is survived by his Daughter, Nancy (Joe) Moore of Milford, KS; Two Grandchildren, Matthew Sagartz and Anna Hale; Four Great-Grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Jean Wesley.
