Matthew R. Lowry, 29, of Overbrook, Kansas passed away April 23, 2017. He was born September 7, 1987 to Robert and Mary (Homewood) Lowry in Topeka, Kansas.

He graduated from Santa Fe Trails High School in 2005. He was attending Washburn Tech studying automotive technology. He liked to fish and spend time with his friends and family. He enjoyed working on his truck.

Matt is survived by his mother, Mary Homewood, his brother, Joshua, his grandmother, Shirley Homewood, grandparents, Lee and Vickie Spencer, and his step-father, Alan Laub. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lowry, his grandfathers, Richard Homewood and Wayne Lowry and his grandmother, Sandra Barrett Lowry. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of his life will be held on May 1, 2017 at 2:00PM at Shelter House #5 on Pomona Lake. (from K-268, turn north on Pomona Dam Road, cross the dam and shelter house #5 is on the west side.)
