Earl A. Olberding, 80, went to be with Jesus from his home March 30, 2017.
He was employed by the State of Kansas, Department of Human Resources (recently re-named Department of Labor) as a computer systems analyst, retiring after 34 years. He served in the USAF from 1956-1960, spending one year in Eniwetok in the South Pacific. He was a person of high integrity and enjoyed traveling and playing golf.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene of the home. Other survivors include his son, David Olberding of Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Terri (Joe) Kurilla of Garland, TX; step-sons, Jerry (Kirsten) Miller of Sneads Ferry, NC and Hal (Laura) Miller of Bonnie Lake, WA; 3 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters and one brother.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held at 10AM Monday, June 26, 2017, at Grace Point Church, 5400 SW Huntoon, Topeka. Private inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Topeka, KS.
